2027 UCI ‘Super Worlds’ Announced …

At the UCI’s 191st edition of it’s Congress, this time in Australia, the sport’s governing body unveiled its plans to hold the next UCI Cycling World Championships in 2027 in Haute Savoie, France. Dubed as the ‘Super Worlds’, it is set to take place every four years with the first one set for Glasgow, Scotland in 2023.
The event in France in 2027 will comprise of 19 disciplines, six more than Glasgow, will of course include BMX Racing. We’re excited to see that ‘Pump Track’ will now be included.
‘I would like to congratulate Haute-Savoie on being awarded the organisation of the second UCI Cycling World Championships, four years after the first edition, which will take place next year in Glasgow and across Scotland,’ said UCI President David Lappartient. ‘With its vast experience and ideal setting, Haute-Savoie, in France, will offer the different and varied cycling disciplines optimal conditions for a successful event.’
