Apple Valley, CA – January 16, 2025
The Prince of Peckham, Kye Whyte, Returns to Supercross BMX!
Supercross BMX is thrilled to announce that Kye Whyte, the 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist and one of the brightest stars in BMX, has officially rejoined the Supercross BMX family. Kye’s return marks an exciting new chapter in his career as he signs on with the team through the 2028 LA Games and beyond.
Kye originally rode for the Supercross BMX / Alan’s Factory Team in 2008, where he claimed British Champion #1 plates in both Class and Cruiser. Now, nearly two decades later, he’s back where it all began.
“To have the 2020 Silver Medalist choose to come back to Supercross BMX is a dream for us,” said Bill Ryan, Owner and Founder of Supercross BMX.
As Supercross BMX enters its 36th year, the addition of Kye Whyte to the roster reinforces the brand’s commitment to excellence and its vision for the future. With legacy riders like Bubba Harris and Maris Strombergs leading as team captains, and Kye joining elite riders Vicente Garcia and Lexis Colby, Supercross BMX continues to show the world why it’s a leader in the sport
Kye shared his excitement, saying, “Excited to announce that I’m officially joining the @supercrossbmx team! Super special to be back on the brand I grew up riding and where I had some of my early success, winning National and British Championships. Can’t wait to bring that same energy and success to the next chapter. Let’s make it happen!”
Supercross BMX is also excited to unveil new signature products inspired by Kye, adding to its lineup of rider-designed frames, parts, and apparel. With Bubba’s SX450 Cro-Mo frame, Maris’s work on the Vision F1 Machine, and Kye’s unique contributions, the brand continues to innovate while honoring its heritage.
Fans are encouraged to stay connected on Supercross BMX’s Instagram and YouTube channels for updates, behind-the-scenes content, and more from Kye and the entire Supercross BMX Factory Team.
