PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT
Legion Bicycles, the parts arm of Marshal Racing, are about to release their first premium BMX Crank set. The Legion Ammonite! Forged from 7075-T6 aluminium, the crank sets will come in four versions, Junior, Expert, Master and Ultimate.
The Junior, Expert and Master variants all feature an adjustable crank length, allowing it to grow with the rider, or to evolve if the riders preference were to change. The trio of adjustable options will come with interchangeable spacers, allowing the crank length to be changed in 2.5mm increments, up to a maximum of 5mm addition length.
The Ultimate offering is aimed at advance riders. This crank set length is a fixed length architecture aimed at delivering maximum stiffness and direct power transfer.
The Details …

Legion are undeniably trying to cater for everyone here, producing 8 different variants of the Ammonite crank set, and will be priced in the range of €426 / $496 TBC.
LRB Racing, the parent company, tell us the forging manufacturing process of the cranks create a stronger and stiffer product as the process ‘reorganises and compresses the material’s grain structure in the direction of mechanical loads’ … we’ll have to take their word on this.
We’re intrigued by the offering here from Legion Bicycles and appreciate the effort to add some visual design flare as well as the length adjustment, but we’re gonna hold off on a full-throated opinion until we get our hands on production samples. The renderings and 3D Printed prototypes do look interesting though …
An Ammonite Chainring will also be available (seen here in 3D Printed form). We believe it will go up to a 50 tooth.
The Legion Ammonite Crank Set is due out during November 2026.
