Chase Bicycles have been selling off the brilliant RSP 3.0 at reduced rates lately in order to clear stock for the imminent arrival of the RSP 4.0 which is due to be unveiled at the 2018 USA BMX Grands (23rd – 25th November) and released in the new year.
But, if you’re anything like us, that seems like a long time to wait so we’ve hunted down some information to tide us over. It looks like Chase have taken a lot of what they developed for the Carbon ACT 1.0 and adapted the details for the all new alloy frame, and it looks interesting, very interesting. We can’t wait to see the frame in person and test it out!
Highlights include:
– 1 1/8” to 1.5” tapered headtube
– New press fit BB86/92 bottom bracket
– Enclosed 10mm drop outs with incorporated chain tensioners
– Disc brake compatible (kit sold separately). Entire v-brake mount is not removable (updated)
– Frames will be supplied with both an aero seat clamp and an aero seat post (confirmed)
– Two new sizes added for the 4.0 – XXXL (22″) and an Expert Cruiser
– 3 basic colour options, Black (white or neon yellow graphics), Sand, Polished (red, blue or neon yellow graphics shown below on RSP 3.0 frame)
– The RSP 4.0 is expect to hit retail outlets in January 2019
