Big trees, big track energy, and a rider field stacked with MTB muscle … come on BMX, get your act together!

Bas van Steenbergen took the men’s win in front of a loud cheering crowd. Precise, powerful, and fully in control from the first timed run to the final lap — Bas is headed to Monthey, Switzerland and looking every bit like a threat. On the women’s side, Makayla Brosius made her Pump Track debut count. Big confidence, big statement, she looked ready for Switzerland.

The Slovakian round of the Pump Track World Championships delivered tight racing with riders navigating a fast, technical track, with incredible support from Košice!

In the men’s race, it was Poland’s Brajan Nowak who laid down the fastest run of the day to take the win. Sirio Grünig from Switzerland claimed second after a solid series of laps, while Sweden’s Love Sylwan settled for third after a costly mistake in the semi-final.

The women’s race saw Slovakia’s Kristína Nováková take top honours on home soil, putting down a brilliant final run that secured first place. Fellow Slovakian Kristína Madarásová came through in second, while Olga Biegun of Poland held on for third after a shaky second timed run.

It’s always a good time, and a good crowd for the UK Qualifier! This time we had over 800 spectators lining the edge of the Chopwell pump track … the atmosphere was as electric, as was the racing.

The men’s category brought the intensity, with a stylish, high-level field leaning heavily toward MTB riders.  The day was filled with tight battles, dramatic moments, and one major shake-up in the finals.

Fraser Hand took the win in the final in the men’s field, but not the way anyone expected. Daniel Cay had been the fastest rider all day, posting a blistering 22.906 in the timed runs and storming through the heats, until a crash in the final handed the top step to Fraser, who still clocked an impressive 23.588 without needing to beat his own earlier times.

It was also a strong return for Marc Ducat, who brought power and precision back to the track, recording the second-fastest time of the day at 23.061 and finishing 3rd overall @harrison_purebmx, who qualified second, unfortunately made a critical error in the Top 16 and missed out on the later stages.

Danielle Vrenegoor dominated every stage in the women’s category and locked in the fastest time of the day at 25.959 in the final. Her run was smooth, confident, and clean.

Morgan Haslam made a strong comeback from injury, riding with trademark control and ease. She edged out Camilla Tagliapietra in the semi-finals, showing she’s back in the game.
