2021 UCI World Championships Papendal | Information
The Covid19 ravaged 2021 UCI BMX World Championships may only have 216 entries, but they are the fastest 216 riders on the planet right now and they will be descending on Papendal for three days, Friday the 20th until Sunday the 22nd of August.
Both Alise Willoughby and Twan van Gendt have been wearing the Rainbow jerseys since their victories at the 2019 Zolder Worlds … and will now finally get the chance to defend their titles after Houston 2020 was cancelled.
This may not be the Worlds we all wanted but it’s a stepping stone to what will hopefully be a return to normal in 2022 … We’re looking forward to a fast and furious weekend of racing at the brilliant Papendal facility, and if the Tokyo Olympics thought us anything, it’s that this will be anything but predictable …
